Great food and amazing service! I live pretty far but I always try to come to tons at least once a month. The only off-putting thing is that the place does need a major renovation/upgrade. However, I will never stop boasting about the food!

Honestly this is one of my favorite places to eat. The cooks are the nicest and you get plenty for what you pay for if you plate things correctly I love coming for dine in and dine out. I’ve mastered my plating I just absolutely love it

We love this place so much, it is our birthday and Christmas day tradition meal. If it were closer we would pick it up to go every week like we used to when the Arlington location existed. The place is old and needs some renovations but the food is just way too dang good to care. The little waitress that's there almost every open minute is the sweetest server ever, she always remembers our drink choices and wont let you go empty before a refill. It's a classic "hole-in-the-wall" that I pray never closes because I will LITERALLY cry, since the other 2 locations have already closed. Keep em in business, and go have the greatest Mongolian meal of your life. Bring a big group of your hungriest homies and throw the cooks a few bucks too cause they earn it at that hot grill.

The original Ton's, it's been here for years & I believe has been run by the same people with several long term staff members. The staff has always been kind from the minute you walk in the door whether they are wait staff or cooks, always courteous. It can get busy here but they are efficient! If you've never had Mongolian grill you basically put all your food in a bowl (here you use two) - proteins, veggies, noodles, sauce, & cook it all together on a large grill at the end. You can ask them to make you fried rice at the grill too, just eggs & soy sauce or to use it as the base of your meal if you don't want noodles. If you want an egg, ask when they take your bowls to start grilling your food. Hot & sour or egg drop soup are available if you'd like & you can order some white rice with your meal if preferred. Ice cream is available for a sweet treat at the end. All these things are included in your meal. Sometimes the area where you get all your ingredients can be messy. It's hard to control the mess people make, especially with the sauces but we came at a slow time where no one had been in front of us & oil was all across the counter. Sometimes the floor can get greasy too in the same area. Like I said, it's been around for awhile, it's a little run down but the quality of food is still good. It's truly a staple in Grand Prairie, don't miss out!

Best TONs grill in all dfw, original not wanna bes at various buffets. Proteins are sliced perfect for this type of grill

You pick your own proteins, selections of animals or vegetables (your choice, so if you're a V you can go that way, if you're a C you can do that) choose your sauce, hand it to the guy slaving over a 6 ft diameter griddle and he'll hand you back a delicious meal. Repeat as needed until you burst. If you don't like it, it's your own fault - you picked what you wanted.

Me and my hubby love Ton's! It's a buffet style but with one plate, you'll be satisfied! The cooks are always on it and the waiters are very sweet. And don't forget, the ice cream is free! I highly recommend.

The place could use a little bit of cleaning, and a facelift. But we've been bringing our family here for years. We fondly refer to it as "the fire place" (if you use enough oil in your food, it'll blaze on the grill).
